Live at the Main Point, 15th August 1973 is a dusty capture of a spirited, playful live set by Jackson Browne and multi-instrumentalist David Lindley. Browne was touring in support of his first solo album, and the stripped-down duo of Browne playing guitar and singing with Lindley backing him up vocally as well as on violin, mandolin, and other instruments presents a warm, intimate energy. Over the course of the 13-song set, Browne engages the crowd with stories and anecdotes, and offers up both his own songs and some unexpected covers, opening the set with the Eagles’ “Take It Easy” before getting around to hits of his own like “These Days” and “Song for Adam.”
